SFO and it’s 400 employees make $821M a year in Aviation revenues alone, plus $45M a year in Uber & Lyft fees, and another $42M in concessions.

While SFO is owned by San Francisco, it’s embedded in San Mateo County which bears the brunt of unpleasantness and burdens associated with the airport despite being surrounded on all sides by District 1.

Though the SFO airport pretends it barely breaks even ($11.5M profit) the reality is that for 94 years SFO has been one of the biggest pies in California, and San Mateo County barely gets a taste
